The State of Healthcare in Mississippi

Timothy H. Moore has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Mississippi Hospital Association (MHA) since September 1, 2013.  MHA is the statewide organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, health care systems and their patients and communities. There are approximately 96 hospitals in Mississippi who are members of the Association.  The mission of MHA is to promote excellence in health services through advocacy, education and information.

He is a Member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) as well as the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).  He currently serves as Region 4 Chairman to the American Hospital Association State Issues Forum Steering Committee and serves as a member of the Office of Mississippi Physician Workforce Advisory Board as well as the South Central Telehealth Advisory Committee.

Mr. Moore earned his Master’s Degree in Health Care Management from the University of New Orleans, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Science at Mississippi State University.
