The Rise and Shine Half Marathon & 5K
Susan Yarrow currently serves as the public relations manager for Hattiesburg Clinic. In this position, she is responsible for the identification and implementation of Hattiesburg Clinic’s public relations, marketing and event planning activities. Prior to joining Hattiesburg Clinic, Yarrow served as the program and training director for the Girl Scouts of Gulf Pines Council in Hattiesburg, Miss. She has more than 23 years of experience planning and conducting large-scale events.
In 2014, Yarrow received an Award of Merit from Public Relations Association of Mississippi, for her entry of the 2013 Rise & Shine Half-Marathon and 5K, a race benefitting The Arc of Southeast Mississippi. She has been awarded Volunteer of the Year by March of Dimes and has served on the board of directors for the American Red Cross and the Art for Heart committee for the American Heart Association. She now serves on the board of directors for the United Way of Southeast Mississippi and is currently serving as the pacesetter chair.
Yarrow and her husband, Wayne, enjoy traveling and spending time with their six children and eight grandchildren. Her passion is working with nonprofits, helping them achieve their goals to assist those they serve.
