JEFFREY BURNS, M.D.
One of Hattiesburg’s leading orthopedic surgeons, Dr. Burn is a native of Virginia Beach VA. He received his BS in Chemistry from the nationally recognized Lynchberg College in Lynchberg VA and he received his masters of Chemistry at the University of Illinois. He received his MD from Eastern VA Medical School, and did his Orthopedic Residency at the State University of New York, Stoney Brook.
Dr Burn’s received his fellowship training for Joint Replacement at the world renowned Florida Orthopedic Institute in Tampa FL where he trained under Dr. Ken Gustke (pronounced Gus Key) who is considered to be one of the pioneers in Adult Joint Reconstruction.
In 2008 Dr. Jeff Burns and Dr. Tommy Baylis founded Hattiesburg’s newest orthopedic group- Premier Orthopedics and Sports Medicine located in the Wesley Towers at Wesley Hospital. Dr. Burns is Board Certified and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of Osteoarthritic disease, and Adult Hip and Knee Joint Reconstruction.
