ROTARY CLUB OF HATTIESBURG AND THE CHILDREN'S CENTER PARTNER AGAIN FOR 5K

This year, Rotary Club of Hattiesburg is teaming up with Topher's and The Children's Center for Communication and Development to host "Burgers & Bibs." This event is a pre-race dinner event that will be held on Friday, Feb. 24 (4:30 p.m. - 7 p.m.), the night before The Children's Center Classic. 
 
This addition to race festivities will allow runners to pick up his or her shirt/bib combo and be able to pick up dinner! But! This event isn't just for runners, it's also for the general community! 

Race-day registration and bag pick-up will begin promptly at 7:30 a.m. and the race will kick-off at 9 a.m. beginning with the 1-Mile Fun Run.

AWARDS
Awards will be given to male and female overall winners, male and female master and grandmaster winners, and male and female 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in age groups (12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and up).

Thursday, Feb. 23 - Benefit Night for The Children's Center at The Mahogany Bar
Friday, Feb. 24 - Burgers & Bibs, hosted in partnership with Rotary Club of Hattiesburg and Topher's Rock 'N Roll Grill - Hardy St.
Saturday, Feb. 25 - The 3rd Annual Children's Center Classic

ADDITIONAL DETAILS ARE BELOW:
  • Each participant is responsible for signing the Waiver and Release portion on the Official Entry Form.
  • A parent or guardian's signature is required on entry form for participants under 18 years of age.
  • Shirts are guaranteed for runners who pre-register by February 3, 2017.
  • Timing Services.Time2RunElectronic Chip Timing will be provided by 
  • Portions of the course will be open to traffic, portions will have lane closures and major intersection crossings will have police protection.
  • Water stations will be placed along the course at particular mile stops. Porta-potties and an aid station will also be available.
  • Runners who cross the finish line will receive a finisher medal and entrance into the post-race replenishment area.
  • Complete race results will be posted after the race.
  • Burger plates for Burgers & Bibs are $10, and tickets can be purchased at the Center, through Center staff, through Rotary Club of Hattiesburg members, and online (in addition to race registration).
