ROTARY DISTRICT ASSEMBLY

Incoming club presidents, please encourage your clubs' officers to attend the District Assembly May 2nd at the Pearl River Community College in Poplarville, MS. Register online by April 29. There will be special breakout sessions for Club Administration, Public Relations, Foundation, Membership and Service Projects. District Governor Elect John Cornwell will present our goals for the coming year and introduce the 2015-2016 RI Theme "Be a Gift to the World". There will be another opportunity to certify your club members to participate in 2015-2016 grants (click on MORE for add'l info)

The deadline to submit a request for a 2015-2016 grant is May 31, 2015. Clubs will not be allowed to do so until they have met all qualification requirements:

• The final report for your club's grant for 2014-2015 must be submitted to PDG Greg Lier by March 31, 2015.
• A member of your club must attend Grants Management Seminar every year. Our first seminar was held at Ole Man River PETS. Our only other opportunity this year will be held at District Training Assembly.
• Your club's current president and incoming president must sign the club memorandum of understanding and return to Foundation Chair Ace Necaise by May 31, 2015.
• Club grant applications will be taken online via the District 6840 website. To repeat, you will only be able to fill out a grant request after your club has attended GMS and returned your club MOU.
